Rambøll: Public sector demand leads to renewal

“The foundation of our creativity and knowledge structure stems from our work with the state.” The group CEO of the Rambøll Group, Flemming Bligaard Pedersen is in no doubt: Denmark’s large public sector can take a great deal of the credit for the fact that, today, Rambøll is a global organization with a unique knowledge of the complicated construction of bridges, wind turbine parks and much more. It was a political decision made over a century ago which determined that these kinds of construction projects should not be the internal responsibility of government ministries, ultimately allowing Denmark – despite its relatively small size – to become home to a number of large, global consultancy firms.
