New high-tech products enhance creativity
As global competition for the best brains intensifies, corporations are looking for new ways to attract - and keep - highly skilled employees demanding more creative, open and involving work processes. Two new technologies seek to change the way we work in a more dynamic and interactive direction . One is an intelligent research engine that utilizes the Internet to collect, store and analyze data. The other is a meeting table based on touchpad technology, allowing four-way communication and document sharing. Both are the result of cooperation between designers and researchers. Design professor John Heskett argues, that while the 20th century was the Age of Mass, globalization and shifts in technology are now fundamentally changing the world of work.
